The Toronto Blue Jays have been one of the many teams this season going through some major struggles. But their issues can still be resolved this season.
One of the biggest problems has been the health of the team. But, fortunately, things are getting a bit better for the Blue Jays. May might be a much-better month for the team than April was for the reigning AL champions.
Bleacher Report's Zachary D. Rymer is predicting that such a turnaround will happen this May for the Blue Jays. But it's not a simple prediction, as Rymer is predicting Toronto will stun the New York Yankees and reclaim first-place in the AL East.
"The Toronto Blue Jays will reclaim 1st place," Rymer writes. "They're 9-5 in their last 14 games, and that's with a solid average of 5.0 runs per game, which has a lot to do with the rise of Kazuma Okamoto. The team has also been getting healthier..."

Toronto reclaiming the top spot in the AL East from the Yankees in May would be stunning. The Yankees are 23-11, and seven games up on the 16-18 Blue Jays.
But if the Yankees go through some regression in May, whether it's their pitching or their offense, and the Blue Jays get healthier and begin to play better, the seven-game difference isn't insurmountable.
It's a bold prediction from Rymer for a reason, as it's incredibly difficult for the Blue Jays to return to the top spot in just one month after a rough April.
But, with Trey Yesavage back in the rotation, and potentially Alejandro Kirk and Addison Barger returning as well this month, things could begin to look bright in Toronto.
Add in Okamoto's surge offensively, with four homers in the last three games, and the Blue Jays have a path to not just a winning record in May, but a first-place spot over the Yankees as well.
