Spoelstra: No need to penalize Ball any further
Erik Spoelstra supports no further penalties for LaMelo Ball after flagrant foul.
A major announcement regarding LIV Golf is expected soon, potentially signaling the end of the league. Brandel Chamblee has predicted that this news could lead to LIV Golf's demise following a poor performance at the Masters.

A âbombshellâ announcement on LIV Golf is coming, and itâs set to rock the golfing world.
âMultiple sourcesâ have confirmed this, but itâs unclear exactly where the news will come from the Saudi-backed league. After a disastrous Masters for all but one of LIVâs players, the tourâs standing in the golfing world has never been lower.
Could one of the tourâs biggest stars, like Bryson DeChambeau or Jon Rahm, be leaving to rediscover their major form? Or could the tour be folding altogether? Only time will tell, but Brandel Chamblee predicted that this could mean the end of LIV forever.

LIV Golf completely abandoned its identity this season to allow its players to qualify for and win major championships. They abandoned the 54-hole format, which gave the tour its name, moving to a 72-hole format, which aligns with the majors.
And with their two biggest stars, DeChambeau and Rahm, winning the three LIV events before The Masters, and with Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler seemingly out of sorts in the build-up to Augusta, they couldnât have asked for a better opportunity to win the first major of the year.
Instead, DeChambeau missed the cut, Rahm never looked competitive, and McIlroy won over second-place Scheffler. Only one LIV player, Tyrrell Hatton, finished in the top 30, and Sergio Garcia was given a code-of-conduct warning.
Chamblee predicts that this was the nail in the coffin for LIV. He posted to X: âGiven that the product was so ill-conceived and ended up being worse than anyone could have imagined.
âWith shotgun starts, initially 54 holes, a team concept that was nothing but laughable and tournaments that meant and continue to mean nothing, and such a paltry number of viewers, losing billions along the way â would it surprise anyone if the Saudis came to their senses and finally euthanized the whole lame-brained tour.â
Chamblee, a frequent critic of LIV, has landed a flying elbow off the top rope with this flaming of LIV. But ultimately, the Golf Channel analyst could be exactly right.
Anthony Kim, who won his first LIV Golf event to complete an incredible comeback story this season, seemed as in the dark as everyone else after this report. He too took to X, posting a âmind-blownâ emoji in response to the news.
If LIV were to disband, it would be awful news for Kim. The biggest stars like DeChambeau and Rahm would easily find their way back to the PGA Tour. But for players like Kim, it could mean the end of their career.
Kim doesnât possess the star power to demand a place back on the PGA Tour, and at 40 years of age, does he possess the stamina and motivation to earn his tour card on the DP World Tour or elsewhere?
He did earn his spot back on LIV after being relegated last season, but the consistency needed to earn a PGA Tour card might be beyond Kim. Heâll be hoping this is all smoke, no fire.
Brandel Chamblee predicts that the upcoming announcement could signal the end of LIV Golf.
The recent Masters tournament was disastrous for LIV Golf, with only one player performing well.
Major players like Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm are speculated to be considering leaving LIV Golf to regain their competitive form.
The announcement is described as a 'bombshell' and could have serious implications for the league's future and viability.
