Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler are the two best golfers in the world right now, and they have been for quite some time in all fairness.
Scheffler is the world number one by quite some distance, and he has won 20 PGA Tour titles since February 2022, including four major championships.
Meanwhile, McIlroy is a six-time major winner. He has won 30 PGA Tour titles and he completed the career Grand Slam last year.

The American and the Northern Irishman win with more regularity than everyone else and they have both set the bar for players like Cam Young and Matt Fitzpatrick to try and reach.
Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler are the two hardest workers in the game, so it should be no surprise to anyone that they have been so dominant.
But if both players have their ‘A’ games, who would win?
If you’re looking for a straight answer to a difficult question, then Brandel Chamblee is the man for the job.
Scottie Scheffler is the world number one due to his impressive performance, winning 20 PGA Tour titles, including four major championships since February 2022.
Rory McIlroy has won six major championships throughout his career.
Completing the career Grand Slam is significant as it demonstrates a golfer's ability to win all four major championships, a rare achievement in the sport.

“Well, if Scottie plays well this week, Rory can’t beat him,“ the former PGA Tour player said.
*“*Scottie is so demonstrably better than everyone else, it’s just not close.
“If Scottie plays his best golf, Rory cannot beat him.“
That is quite the take from Chamblee.
Most people would admit that Scheffler would most likely beat McIlroy perhaps seven out of 10 times due to the fact that he is far more consistent.
The 29-year-old’s worst is also a lot better than the Northern Irishman’s worst.
However, McIlroy’s very best golf is widely considered to be easily as good as Scheffler’s, if not better.
Chamblee clearly doesn’t agree with that take and that’s fine; everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Wouldn’t it be great if Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy both played their best golf at Aronimink this week, and were paired together in the final group on Sunday?
We still haven’t seen that in a major and it’s about time both players made it happen!
