Brentford place first in Premier League matchday fan experience and engagement survey
The club achieved an overall winning score of 80.8. Results of the survey were determined by responses from nearly 32,000 match-attending supporters across all Premier League clubs. Over 1,100 of these were Brentford fans, an increase from last year.
In all measurements contributing to the score, Brentford ranks in the top six of clubs in the league. Fansâ views on matchday atmosphere remain encouraging, with 96 per cent of supporters feeling positive about the atmosphere at the Gtech, and 95 per cent saying that the club provides an inclusive experience for all supporters.
The club also scored well for providing a family-friendly environment, and how we deal with negative fan behaviour, of which the number of incidences remain below the league average.
From the results, we are pleased to see that fans are appreciative of the investments made to improve the matchday experience.
In response to fan feedback, in-stadium wi-fi was introduced, and we hosted tasting events at the Gtech for fans to try a range of new matchday food and drink items. As a result, the club ranked third in the league for wi-fi connectivity and second for the quality and range of food and drink.
Additionally, the attitude and performance of club staff overall, and specifically ticket office staff, also ranked top, which is particularly positive in a season where digital ticketing was introduced.
Outside of matchdays, 98 per cent of Bees fans feel that the club is well-run. Brentford also placed first for openness and transparency of communications and scored highly for listening to fans.
