Two in, two out.
The Denver Broncos signed veteran wide receiver Mike Woods and rookie cornerback Paul Manning following their tryouts at rookie minicamp over the weekend. To make room for Woods and Manning on the offseason roster, Denver officially waived Tennessee cornerback William Wright and running back Deuce Vaughn on Tuesday.
Wright (6-0, 198 pounds) spent two years at Tennessee, including a redshirt 2020 season in which he did not play, followed by just two games in 2021. He was a key special teams player and rotational defensive back in 2025, totaling 14 tackles, two pass breakups and one interception.
Vaughn (5-6, 173 pounds) entered the league with the Dallas Cowboys as a sixth-round pick out of Kansas State in the 2023 NFL draft. He totaled 168 yards from scrimmage on 50 touches in 14 career games in Dallas before landing on Denver's practice squad last summer. He did not appear in any games last season.
The NFL's offseason roster limit is 90 players, but the Broncos get an international exemption for Australian punter , making their roster limit 91 players. Denver is now at that 91-player limit.
