The Denver Broncos haven't made a ton of outside additions this offseason, other than the NFL Draft picks. But with the addition of Jaylen Waddle in a trade, their offense looks a lot better this upcoming season than it has in recent years.
Another spot that looks to be in great shape is the running back room. J.K. Dobbins re-signed with the Broncos, and RJ Harvey will factor into the backfield once more. Rookie fourth-rounder Jonah Coleman will also factor into the offense.
With a fairly crowded RB room, it wasn't a surprise that, as Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team shared on Twitter/x, the Broncos cut ties with former Dallas Cowboys running back Deuce Vaughn.
The Broncos cut Deuce Vaughn due to a crowded running back room after adding new players and re-signing J.K. Dobbins.
Jaylen Waddle's trade is expected to significantly enhance the Broncos' offense, making it more competitive for the upcoming season.
The key running backs on the Broncos' roster now include J.K. Dobbins, RJ Harvey, and rookie Jonah Coleman.

"The Broncos have waived RB Deuce Vaughn," Meirov shared on social media. This move isn't a surprise for the Broncos.
While Vaughn was not likely to earn a spot on the Broncos roster, if there's anything notable about this move, it is that it comes after the rookie minicamp, and well ahead of training camp.
Denver clearly likes their running back room, and not just the starters, but the depth options as well. Dobbins, Harvey, and Coleman are likely to see most, if not all, of the work this upcoming season at RB.
Jaleel McLaughlin, Tyler Badie, and Cody Schrager are now the main backups for the Broncos RB room behind the aforementioned trio.
Vaughn, the 5-foot-6, 176-pound running back out of Kansas State who was drafted by the Cowboys in the sixth-round of the 2023 NFL Draft, didn't last long in Denver.
Last season, Vaughn signed with the Broncos' practice squad and spent the full season there. He was then signed to a futures deal after the regular season, but he's now been released.
Three years after his viral draft video, in which Vaughn's father, a scout for the Cowboys, got to make the call to his son that his team had just drafted him, is now a free agent again.
Vaughn had never played for the Broncos after they signed him last year. Now, the 24-year-old RB will hit the open market again, after one season in Denver.
