Browns Day 2 Mock Draft: Cleveland finds their big WR, adds to defense

Both the third safety and slot corner in Browns’ new DC Mike Rutenberg’s defense are incredibly important, and Cleveland more than likely finds their day one starter at nickel with their first pick of day two.

Round 3 (70): WR Elijah Sarratt – Indiana

Todd Monken has said multiple times over the past month that he’s basically looking for a “big” receiver, and he manages to find his guy in round three. Sarratt has been one of the best pass-catchers in the Big Ten since 2024, and he was a major reason for the Hoosiers’ success on offense over the past two seasons.

The 6’2.5”, 210-pound receiver with 10” hands has the talent to work his way into the starting lineup at “X” for Cleveland, and his ability to dominate at the catch point with top-notch body control and catch concentration is incredibly intriguing for an offense that desperately needs to add talent to the wide receiver room.

A receiving group of Jerry Jeudy, KC Concepcion, Elijah Sarratt, Cedric Tillman, Isaiah Bond, and Tylan Wallace is a fairly large upgrade over what they had last season.

Round 3 (74): DE Jaishawn Barham – Michigan

The Browns currently only have three pass-rushers on the roster capable of seeing a legitimate number of snaps in 2026. The trio of Myles Garrett, Isaiah McGuire, and Alex Wright is an excellent core at defensive end, but they still need to add another high-level pass rusher to the mix. They not only add one of the draft’s most recent ”darlings”, but they also add a player who can be used almost anywhere in the front seven for Cleveland.

Barham played both off-ball and with his hand in the dirt for Michigan in 2025, though he grew into a very impressive defensive end over the final 5-6 games of the season. His explosiveness and motor off the edge should translate incredibly well to the pros, and the Browns can’t pass up a player with Barham’s ceiling at No.74.
