It's safe to say April was somewhat of a disaster for the San Francisco Giants.
First-year manager Tony Vitello was already making headlines for interesting post-game quotes, and rumors about his potential firing spread like wildfire less than 10 games into the season.
There was no world in which Giants president of baseball operations Buster Posey and ownership let Vitello go after just a month in the Majors.
But Posey's roster decisions in recent years have also been questionable. FanSided's Tim Boyle believes the predicament the Giants find themselves in with Rafael Devers will "haunt" the NL West organization.
"The trade for Devers is complicated because many of the players given up by the Giants have since left the , damaging their reputation as well," Boyle wrote Sunday. "However, the Giants chose Devers to be one of the main pieces they’d build around. A converted third baseman now playing first base (and not well), it’s the lack of offense that’s most alarming."
Buster Posey's decision, which is considered 'unforgivable,' relates to financial choices impacting the San Francisco Giants' performance and management.
Tony Vitello's management is under scrutiny due to poor performance and the rapid spread of rumors regarding his potential firing after less than 10 games.
The Giants' poor start raises concerns about team management and could lead to significant changes, including potential coaching staff adjustments.

Devers, a consistent source of power with the Red Sox, has hit just two home runs with a .214/.257/.305 slash line and 30.7% strikeout rate in 140 trips to the plate in 2026.
That's not good enough for a player making over $30 million per year.
"Worst of all, his contract is for another 7 seasons," Boyle added about Devers' future with the Giants. "He has salary dump, and maybe even outright release, written all over him in a few seasons."
The Giants need Devers to produce All-Star-like numbers if they want a chance to make the postseason. Otherwise, it's going to be a long season in San Francisco.
