Caleb Williams and Makai Lemon will face off in Week 3

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams and new Philadelphia Eagles receiver Makai Lemon were once teammates at USC. They did not have much success together in their shared time, but it is a relationship that is still strong. Makai Lemon even named Caleb as a quarterback he wanted to catch passes from in the NFL.

That relationship will be put to the test when the Eagles play the Chicago Bears in NFL Week 3 on September 28. The game will be a Monday Night Football showcase.

Caleb Williams and the Bears had the Eagles' number last season as they took care of business in dominant fashion. It was the first legitimate win for a Bears team that still had much to improve at the time. Since that much has changed for the Eagles, the hope is that Makai Lemon can be a serviceable replacement for A.J. Brown.

The Eagles one year look like an NFC contender, and the next season they look like a complete shell of themselves. Last season, they were a shell of themselves. The Bears have been a team that shouldn't be taken lightly, and that is what happened in last year's matchup between the two teams. Fans love to joke around about a potential alliance between the two squads when they aren't matching up. This still has the potential to become a heated rivalry at some point down the line.

Both teams have the pieces to come out of the NFC conference and head to the Super Bowl, if all things fall their way. This week 3-game should be a great early litmus test for where both teams currently stand.
