Brown pointed directly to flopping as a major issue in todayâs game. He specifically referenced Joel Embiid while explaining his stance during the livestream.
Embiid had dominated Game 7 with 34 points to seal the series. The Celtics forward had already called out what he viewed as flopping in his post-match press conference.
Speaking on Twitch, he reinforced that view without hesitation, saying: âFlopping has ruined our game. Joel Embiid is a great player. One of the best bigs in fââ basketball history. [But he] Flops. He knows it. This ainât, this ainât breaking news.â
Jaylen Brown did not specify the trend in the excerpt, but he expressed concern that it is damaging the NBA product.

Brownâs remarks drew criticism from former NBA guard Jay Williams. The ex-Chicago Bulls player questioned the timing and tone of the comments.

However, he later suggested Brown should have moved on from the topic. âIt feels like itâs about excuses and thatâs not who Jaylen Brown is,â Williams added.
âHe said a lot of great things during that stream, but that one thing, he shouldnât have said,â he concluded.
