Last season with the Browns, Njoku caught 33 passes for 293 yards and four touchdowns. Although those are lower numbers than what he had put up in three seasons prior to 2025, Njoku could still help amplify the Chargers’ offense in 2026.
The Chargers currently have Oronde Gadsen and Charlie Kolar in their tight end room for next season. Los Angeles made Kolar the highest-paid tight end known primarily for his blocking when the franchise signed him to a three-year, $24.3 million deal in free agency in March.
Adding Njoku into that group and pairing him with quarterback Justin Herbert could elevate the Chargers into serious contenders next season.
