Chelsea to stick with Liam Rosenior even without Champions League football
Chelsea are set to stick by head coach Liam Rosenior even if they finish outside of the top five according to reports.
The Blues are currently sixth in the Premier League four points behind fifth-placed Liverpool who currently occupy the last Champions League place.
However, Chelsea are in poor form having lost five of their last six games in all competitions including defeats in their last three Premier League games. And while Rosenior's side are only four points behind fifth place they are also just six points above 14th-placed Newcastle United.
According to a report from The Athletic, finishing outside of the top five would not be a disaster for Rosenior who retains trust inside the club and he would be kept on regardless.
It has been a difficult time for Rosenior in recent weeks, as well as Chelsea's poor form there has been issues with players including Enzo Fernández commenting on a move to Madrid and Alejandro Garnacho deleting all of his social media posts that include his current employers.
Chelsea are back in action on Saturday evening when they host Manchester United – a game that could prove key for who reaches the Champions League next season.
