The Chicago Bears could acquire Maxx Crosby for a reduced price following a failed trade to the Ravens. The Raiders may not receive the expected return for Crosby due to recent developments.

The Maxx Crosby situation was one of the more interesting ones around the NFL just about a month ago. Crosby was traded to the Baltimore Ravens, but the Ravens backed out of the deal because they didn't love his medicals.
Many believed the Las Vegas Raiders got the short end of the stick in that situation, while others now believe the Ravens' backing out of the deal will only hurt Crosby's market.
Looking at what that might mean, the Chicago Bears were recently linked to the star edge rusher, but the more important part of the scenario is that if the Raiders decide to move on from him, they likely won't get the same return they were looking for just a month ago.
“If/when they do trade him, it’s never going to be for two first-round picks like the Ravens were offering, but it would be for a first-round pick and maybe a round two or three pick. You have to imagine that they still want to offload him. They signed a whole bunch of players and spent a whole bunch of money on defense, and then they found out that they were still going to be stuck with Crosby’s contract,” Jake Beckman of FanSided wrote.
As Beckman touched on, there is reason to believe that the Raiders will still move on from him. Despite many suggesting that Crosby and the Raiders are in a better spot than they were just a month ago, Las Vegas brought in a lot of very good players in the earlier stages of free agency and spent a ton of money. Having Crosby's money on the books now changes some of how they initially looked.
The Ravens backed out of the trade due to concerns over Maxx Crosby's medical evaluations.
If the Raiders trade Crosby, they are expected to receive a first-round pick and possibly a second or third-round pick, rather than two first-round picks.
The Bears may benefit from a lower acquisition cost for Crosby if the Raiders decide to move on from him.
