The Kansas City Chiefs made a logical move before the NFL Draft.
Nikko Remigio was an exclusive rights free agent who had yet to re-sign with the Chiefs. They fixed that on Monday.

Remigio will be entering his third year with the Chiefs.
The 26-year old speedster played college football at Cal and then at Fresno State before going undrafted.
For the Chiefs, the 5-foot-9 Remigio has been almost exclusively a return man.
He had 104 punt return yards and 295 kick return yards in 2024.
He raised that significantly in 2025 to 191 punt return yards and 741 kick return yards.
On offense, Remigio made two catches for 48 yards in 2024 and one catch for 21 yards in 2025. The Chiefs also gave him a rush in 2025 that went for 11 yards.
He's unlikely to ever have a huge offensive role, although he can remain a gadget player. And as long as he's an effective returner, Kansas City will likely be able to find a roster spot for him.
Nikko Remigio is a 5-foot-9 speedster who was an exclusive rights free agent, and the Chiefs signed him to secure his position before the NFL Draft.
An exclusive rights free agent is a player who has not yet completed their contract and can only negotiate with their current team, allowing them to be re-signed without competition from other teams.
Signing Nikko Remigio before the NFL Draft allows the Chiefs to maintain depth at the wide receiver position, potentially influencing their draft decisions.
