Norwich City boss Philippe Clement has taken pride in his side despite a 1-1 draw with Swansea ending their play-off ambitions.
The Canaries could have been in the mix for the last play-off spot on the final day of the season after both sixth placed Wrexham and seventh placed Hull lost at the weekend, but needed to win both their remaining two games to be in with a chance.
However, Clement was quick to praise his team that have risen from the bottom three to ninth place under the Belgian's guidance.
"The players did amazing stuff in the last couple of months," Clement said. "They showed they were playing for this badge.
"Today they went behind, you are disappointed, but they dug in and went for the equaliser and after they went for the second goal.
"We were the best team in the first half. We should have scored two or three.
"In the second half, from the side it looked a clear penalty on Toure but we don't get that one. They are massive decisions that go against us.
"But I am proud of what the team is showing in mentality and quality."
