TL;DR
Four-star quarterback Andre Adams has committed to the Colorado Buffaloes, choosing them over Virginia Tech, Kentucky, and Florida State. Adams, ranked No. 173 in the 2027 class, is known for his dual-threat capabilities and impressive high school performance.
The Colorado Buffaloes and Deion Sanders have landed their quarterback of the future with four-star Andre Adams committing to the Buffs on Tuesday morning.
Adams chose Colorado from his list of four finalists, which included Virginia Tech, Kentucky and Florida State. He ranks as the No. 173 overall prospect in the 2027 class, the No. 15 quarterback and the No. 8 player from the state of Tennessee.
The Antioch, Tenn., native visited Colorado about 10 days ago, after which he called Brennan Marion an "elite" offensive mind. He then postponed his commitment, sparking speculation that he would join the Buffs' 2027 recruiting class.
In 2025, Adams accounted for 4,273 total yards and 35 touchdowns in 2025. He is a true dual-threat quarterback, setting a Tennessee state record with 714 total yards in one game (507 passing yards, 207 rushing yards).
Adams is a perfect fit in Marion's Go-Go offense, which prioritizes a competent rushing quarterback. At 6-foot-2, Adams also has the prototypical size that teams look for in their quarterback.
Colorado now has two 2027 commits with Adams joining three-star cornerback Davon Dericho.
