Corazón Classic Match, Real Madrid Leyendas vs Inter Legends on 13 June
On Saturday 13 June 2026, several Inter Legends will take part in a special event: the Nerazzurri legends will step onto the pitch at the Santiago Bernabéu to face Real Madrid Leyendas in the Corazón Classic Match: Un partido con alma de infancia, a charity friendly organised to raise funds for the social projects of the Fundación Real Madrid.
The event was officially presented during a press conference held at the Bernabéu, attended by Inter President and CEO Giuseppe Marotta and Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez. They were joined by several legends from both clubs for the presentation of the match. Representing Inter were Vice President Javier Zanetti, Francesco Toldo and Esteban Cambiasso.
These were the words of President Marotta during the press conference
Good afternoon to all of you, on behalf of myself and FC Internazionale Milano.
I would like to thank Real Madrid and its Foundation, but above all President Florentino Pérez and Emilio Butragueño, whom I am fortunate to consider friends.
First of all, I would like to remember a great legend of this Club who sadly passed away just a few days ago: José Santamaría. One of the finest defenders of his generation and an extraordinary competitor, who earned his place in Real Madrid’s history thanks to winning four European Cups.
It has brought us great pride to have been invited to participate in the 13th edition of Real Madrid's Corazón Classic Match, which will be played in this impressive stadium on 13 June between the legends of our prestigious

It is a great pleasure for us to return to Madrid, to the stadium where Inter lifted the Champions League for the third time in our history on 22 May 2010. We are also very proud to take part in this exciting Corazón Classic Match for a second time, having previously done so in the 2014 edition, . Club icons such as Javier Zanetti, Esteban Cambiasso and Francesco Toldo – whom I thank for being here today – will take to the pitch wearing our colours in this wonderful, fully renovated stadium.
This match seals the bond of mutual respect and esteem between Inter and Real Madrid: two clubs that share not only victorious moments in world football history, but also important values that we will bring together onto the pitch at the Bernabéu to help children and young people in vulnerable situations.
It is our social responsibility to step onto the field for them, carrying the values of sport with us: respect, loyalty and teamwork, but also solidarity with those living in difficult circumstances who deserve real support.
Football has a unique magic: it brings together people from different languages, cultures and social backgrounds under the same passion, and so it is with great passion that the champions of the past will face each other in this wonderful match.
It will also be an opportunity for these legends to embrace old friends again and proudly remember their former duels on European nights, but alongside an even more important purpose: to bring a smile back to many boys and girls who live in difficult situations.
I conclude with the hope of seeing you all again here at the Bernabéu on 13 June for the Corazón Classic Match, in order to bring joy and hope to many young people who will become the men and women of tomorrow.
Playing with values, winning with respect and taking the field with a passion for solidarity: this is the true strength of sport.
June’s match will not be the first appearance for the Inter Legends in the Corazón Classic Match. The Nerazzurri legends already featured in the 2014 edition at the Bernabéu, the fifth staging of the event. The match ended Real Madrid Leyendas 2–2 Inter Legends, with Inter becoming the first invited team not to lose against the Madrid side. As a tribute, the two clubs agreed to share the title without playing the penalty shootout that had initially been scheduled. The 2014 game brought together many iconic names from both clubs, including players who had represented both sides, such as Luis Figo and Iván Zamorano. Coached by Walter Zenga, the Nerazzurri twice came from behind: Zinedine Zidane opened the scoring before a spectacular strike from Javier Zanetti levelled the match. After Iván Pérez made it 2–1 for Real Madrid, Inter equalised again through a header from Lambros Choutos.
