Cruzeiro, Flu and Inter advance in the Copa do Brasil

The round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil already has its first teams through. Cruzeiro, Fluminense, and Internacional secured their spots on Tuesday night. This Wednesday (13) and tomorrow, 13 more clubs will join the trio.

At Mineirão, Cruzeiro beat Goiás 1-0, with a goal from Kaio Jorge. In the first match, in Goiânia, the teams drew 2-2.

At Maracanã, Fluminense defeated Operário-PR 2-1, with goals from Savarino and Lucho Acosta for the Tricolor, while Felipe Augusto pulled one back. In the other match, in Ponta Grossa, the game ended 0-0.

At Beira-Rio, Internacional beat Athletic-MG 3-2 and confirmed its qualification. Borré, Allex, and Bernabei scored for the Colorado. Ian Luccas netted both goals for the visitors. In the previous clash, in Minas, Inter had won 2-1.

The Copa do Brasil continues this Wednesday with seven more matches. On Thursday, another six games will wrap up this stage.
