If there was any Bayern Munich player happier than Jonathan Tah to be moving on from facing Real Madrid, it was Dayot Upamecano.
The center-back duo was under constant duress facing off with Kylian MbappĂ© and VinĂcius JĂșnior, but did managed to help the team win 4-3 (6-4 on aggregate) at the Allianz Arena to advance to the Champions League semifinals vs. Paris Saint-Germain â yet another loaded matchup against a team with a frightening attack.
It is all in a dayâs work for Upamecano.
âWe were all very well prepared. We knew we were playing at home in front of our fans. Weâre all very happy with this win. It wasnât an easy match; I had a lot of work to do, and in fact, Iâve almost lost my voice,â Upamecano told Canal+ (as captured by @iMiaSanMia) with a laugh. âWeâre all proud of our performance today, and weâre going to move on.â
Moving up and movingâŠthat sounds good after a grueling tie with Los Blancos, eh?
