Emma Raducanu hasn’t been seen on court since early March, and while illness kept her out initially, she’s since chosen to stay away from the limelight.
That decision seems to be more than just about recovering from illness. Instead, it looks like she’s taken the opportunity to get some distance and focus on herself.
Given how much attention she’s attracted since her breakthrough, it makes sense that she’d want a bit of space.
No matter what Emma does, criticism tends to follow. Every move gets picked apart, no matter how minor it might seem.
This latest coaching move probably won’t quiet down any of that noise either.

With just a few weeks remaining before Roland Garros begins, their time together appears to be brief. While Raducanu recently trained in Spain, she’s now back at the National Tennis Centre in London. She’s also known for reconnecting with former coaches for advice and support.
Raducanu is set to make her return at this month’s Italian Open.
While they don’t cross paths all that often, there does seem to be a genuine sense of unity among the British women on the tour.
