Wrobleski said after the game that putting Scott in was manager Dave Robertsā decision, but he had no reason to argue against it, per Sonja Chen of MLB.com.
āSomething that Iāve got to earn,ā he said. āIf Doc tells me right now, āWeāre gonna go with Tanner [Scott],ā I trust in Doc.ā
Roberts said the team was considering Wrobleskiās health when they pulled him.
āI think for me, the decision was he hasnāt gone more than five innings in a long time, so now youāre talking about the health of the player,ā Roberts said. āFor him to get up eight times and to throw the baseball the way he did, you could see the velocity start to go down. ⦠He had a heck of a ballgame, he was efficient, those guys were swinging.ā
That said, Wrobleski indicated that in the future, heād like to throw a complete game if the chance arises.
āIām hoping thereās plenty of other opportunities like that to get a complete game,ā Wrobleski said. āThatās something that I think is really cool, not a lot of people do it anymore. ⦠Iām going to try to keep building and get myself in a spot where hopefully I can complete some of those.ā
The Dodgers (12-4) and Mets (7-10) play again Tuesday night. First pitch is set for 7:10 p.m.
Nolan McLean is set to pitch for the Mets, while Yoshinobu Yamamoto will pitch for the Dodgers.
