The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Colorado Rockies 12-3 in the final game of their four-game series. After losing the previous two games, the Dodgers secured the series split with strong performances, including a notable outing from pitcher Justin Wrobleski.

The Los Angeles Dodgers took a commanding 12-3 win over the Colorado Rockies in the final game of a four-game series Monday.
The Dodgers lost the previous two games of the set, but managed to salvage the series behind a flurry of home runs and another strong outing from Justin Wrobleski after an early hiccup.
Wrobleski threw seven innings, allowing a single run while striking out three batters. He allowed eight hits in the outing, but didnât give up a walk for the second consecutive outing.
Colorado got the scoring started in the bottom of the first, hitting back-to-back doubles to lead off the inning. The Dodgers immediately claimed the lead in the top of the second, though, as Max Muncy and Miguel Rojas went back-to-back with solo homers.
LA added on in the top of the third, as Will Smith grounded into a fielders choiceâlater scored as an errorâto score , who extended his on-base streak to 52 games with a single. plated in the following at-bat.
The final score was 12-3 in favor of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Justin Wrobleski was the standout pitcher, throwing seven innings and allowing only one run.
The Dodgers split the four-game series with the Rockies, winning the final game after losing the previous two.

LA added to their lead in the fourth, as a bases loaded balk plated Muncy. Rojas hit a notable milestone in the same inning, logging his 1,000th career hit.

Dalton Rushing joined in on the action in the eighth inning, hitting a solo shot to left, and Hernandez logged an RBI single later in the inning.
The Rockies finally struck back in the bottom of the eighth with a no-doubter off the bat of TJ Rumfieldâthe second homer over 440 feet the Dodgers have allowed this series.
Muncy wasted no time in getting the run back for the Dodgers, though, as he turned in his second two-homer appearance of the series with a 397-footer. Rushing also hit his second homer of the game in the ninth, proving heâs worthy of a spot this year.
Through eight games this season, Rushing has seven homers with a 1.760 OPS. Nine of his 12 hits this year have been for extra bases.
The Rockies managed a run in the bottom of the ninth, but the Dodgers had long put the game away by that point.
LA wonât get a rest day after their first wrap around series of the season, as they travel for another divisional matchup against the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday.
