The Los Angeles Dodgers are looking to end a four-game losing streak and avoid a series sweep against the St. Louis Cardinals Sunday afternoon.

The Dodgers, who lost the last two games against the Miami Marlins at home and dropped the first two in St. Louis, are in the middle of a historic power slump.

Saturday was no different.

Though the 3-2 score implies a hard-fought game, the Dodgers didn’t score until there were two outs in the ninth inning.

At that point, they managed to get runners on base and to home plate when Cardinals defenders repeatedly mishandled hard-hit balls, though a Dalton Rushing strikeout ultimately stranded the tying and winning runners.

Those offensive struggles wasted a strong start by Roki Sasaki, something that’s been a trend for the past couple of weeks.
