DP World Tour pro, 22, wins event by whopping 14 shots in Spain

Only Tiger Woods has won a DP World Tour event by a larger margin than Yurav Premlall did Sunday in Spain.

The 22-year-old South African had a historic victory at the Catalunya Championship, winning by 14 shots at Real Club de Golf El Prat in Barcelona. The 14-shot margin of victory is the second largest in the history of the DP World Tour, trailing only Woods' win at the 2000 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach.

Although the U.S. Open is a USGA event, it's also considered a DP World Tour event. But if majors weren't included, Premlall has a piece of history all to himself. It's his first DPWT victory and second as a pro, his first coming on the Sunshine Tour two years ago. The 14-shot margin of victory does defeat another Woods' mark of largest margin of victory in a player's first win on the tour.

Premlall finished at 28 under, doubling up second-place finisher Shaun Norris. Premlall broke the course record on Saturday with a 9-under 63, and if that wasn't enough, he did it again on Sunday. Over the event's 72 holes, he carded 33 birdies.

When he was 15 years and 5 months old, Premlall became the youngest player to ever qualify for the South African Open, going on to make the cut that week. Now, he's breaking even more records.
