Celtic's penalty sparks debate: worst VAR decision ever?

First things first: we donāt know who Tvzi Machlin, the author of this article is. We wouldnāt know him from Adamās housecat. But we do know this.
Duke fans were not calling for āā¦Jon Scheyer to get the bootā after the loss to UConn. Unhappy? Okay. Upset? Fair enough.
But we wanted him canned?
Ludicrous.
Duke fans know the truth: we know we fell in the butter when Scheyer was tapped to succeed Mike Krzyzewski. He has not only kept Duke at the same level it has been for decades ā something that was by no means guaranteed ā he has innovated brilliantly, both on and off the court. The man is winning at record levels. This reminds us of the early days of DBFR (kind of like the typo, so it can stay) when some Yahoo suggested firing Coach K and hiring someone to take us to the accursed ānext level.ā To which we responded: what next level? Who is doing even this?
Tzvi really need to get off the interwebs and get out more. Smell the sea and feel the sky. Let your soul and spirit fly, Tzvi!
Okay, that aside, we appreciated his article about Dukeās upcoming schedule, and much like last year, itās looking like a real gauntlet. Hereās what we know so far:

A couple of notes here: first, the Michigan game is in some dispute because the Big Ten believes it has broadcast rights. Whatever, windbags of the plains. You just wish you had thought of it first in your never-ending quest to escape your regional demographic decline.
As noted previously, Duke could switch opponents and move UConn to the Garden and play Michigan in Vegas. Not ideal, probably a million reasons not to do it, but itād stick one in the Big Tenās craw, and would almost be worth it for that alone. Puncture that windbag!
But if not, they could reasonably find another team to play in the Garden, and then they could use Amazon to send Big Ten Commissioner a nice gift, say, the collected works of Mike Krzyzewski.
Or maybe just Fedex a copy of the Amazon check. Scheyer could sign it $cheyer.
Take it like a man, Petitti!
As for the ACC/SEC Challenge game, rumors are that itāll be Tennessee in the Food City Center. Trivia: that company started in N.C. A prominent Duke booster made his fortune because a friend owed him some money and offered him either a riding mower or stock in an unknown company to settle the debt. Crazy Towel Guy took the stock, and the rest is history.
So while itās not official, it sure looks like Duke will be playing in the home of the worldās most offensive shade of orange in late November, assuming the scheduling is roughly the same as last season.
Anyway, thatās our dispatch from the Scheduling Intel Department. Weāll revisit when the need arises.
