LIV Golf continued in Virginia this week despite ongoing concerns about the funding of the tour.
The Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) will end its funding of LIV Golf after the 2026 season, placing its future in major doubt.
But business continued at LIV Golf Virginia, where Lucas Herbert claimed his first LIV Golf individual trophy with a wire-to-wire win.
The Ripper GC player defeated Sergio Garcia by four shots at Trump National Washington, where two-time major champion and former world number one Dustin Johnson was also involved.
He finished in a tie for 18th, but more significantly was asked about his faith that there is a path forward beyond 2026 for LIV Golf.

Johnson told the media at LIV Golf Virginia: âI mean, LIV obviously, I think weâre in a pretty good spot.
âJust look at our events, look at the players we got.
âSo Iâm confident in the people running the show that we will continue on.
âYeah, I think all the guys, we really love being out here.
âItâs very enjoyable.
âWe love competing against each other.
âWeâre only getting better.
âYeah, Iâm very confident in our leadership.â
Focus will soon turn to LIV Golf Korea, with the next event in the schedule taking place at Asiad Country Club at the end of the month.
Before that, however, Johnson will play at the PGA Championship after being given a special invitation for the major championship at Aronimink Golf Club this week.
