Early expert consensus rankings for the 2026 NFL season highlight undervalued Colts players, including Daniel Jones and Alec Pierce. D.J. Giddens is also noted as a potential valuable handcuff behind Jonathan Taylor.
Fantasy expert consensus rankings (“ECR”) are starting to pop up across the Internet, giving managers an early glimpse into how the market might value hundreds of players this summer. As we look ahead to the 2026 season, here are the biggest Colts bargains based on ECR.
A few months after putting their playoff hopes in the hands of impending Hall-of-Fame (now “delayed Hall of Fame”) Philip Rivers, Indy is returning most of their starting offensive playmakers to make another run at the playoffs. Daniel Jones is a key to most of his teammates’ fantasy success. Recovering from a torn Achilles, he’s a half-decent bet to return by Week 1. Yet experts have him pegged as the QB26. A lot would have to go wrong (including a significant injury recovery setback) to keep him outside the top 24. For now, he’s comfortably undervalued.
The same goes for Alec Pierce (WR35 ECR) in a slightly thinned-out receiving corps. Last year’s WR27, Pierce proved capable with Jones under center, and occasionally dominated after Jones got hurt. With Michael Pittman Jr. gone, Pierce should be viewed as no worse than the WR30, and he has solid top-24 upside.
Unless the Colts draft a running back to compete for the #2 job behind Jonathan Taylor, D.J. Giddens (RB82 ECR) will push for “most valuable undraftable handcuff” credentials. Last year’s fifth-round pick was a do-it-all bell cow at Kansas State for two years. Now he’s one Taylor injury away from (potentially) becoming a weekly fantasy starter.
Taylor is coming off a 369-touch campaign -- his heaviest workload since 2021. Following that 2021 season, Taylor suffered through back-to-back injury-plagued years. He is human, and he’s expected to dominate despite the massive workload. Giddens is a must-draft insurance policy.
