Eberl: Bayern won't sign Jackson permanently; Olise not for sale

Bayern Munich will not sign forward Nicolas Jackson on a permanent deal at the end of the season while Michael Olise is "absolutely" not for sale, board member for sport Max Eberl has said.

Eberl said late Saturday on ZDF television that Jackson has not amassed a required number of games to make use of such an option and that he will return to English parent club Chelsea when the season long loan ends in summer.

Honorary president Uli Hoeness has said that a full purchase would be mandatory if Jackson started in 40 matches. The fee in such a case was estimated at €65 million ($76.2 million).

Jackson has so far started 13 matches and featured in 29 games for Bayern, who last weekend clinched another Bundesliga title.

Eberl added that Bayern have no intention to let winger Olise go amid reported interest from several European top clubs. Olise is in his second season at Bayern and has recorded 19 goals and 32 assists across all competitions this term.

Eberl said that Olise will "absolutely" stay, adding: "We are not spending a single second thinking about anything."

The official also said that veteran goalkeeper Manuel Neuer can expect a new contract if the 40-year-old decides to continue for another year.

“If Manu plays the way he does, and if he feels ready to do it again, then I can’t see anything stopping him from extending his contract for another year,” Eberl said.
