Watching Nathan Eovaldi pitch a masterpiece on Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium against the New York Yankees had to make Texas Rangers fans smile.

As for the Rangers' offense, Corey Seager had a much-needed 2-for-5 night at the plate with a homer. Jake Burger went 2-for-4. Texas pounded Yankees starter Will Warren, who took the loss and is now 4-1 this season.
With two outs in the top of the first, Seager smoked his seventh home run this season over the right-field wall to put Texas up 1-0 early.
Then, in the top of the third inning, Ezequiel Duran, who is on a heater right now, smashed a double to left. Brandon Nimmo scored and the Rangers went up 2-0. Later in the third, Evan Carter connected for a two-run home run and Texas extended its lead to 4-0.
That was Carter's fourth home run this season, another bright spot in the Rangers' offense on Wednesday night. Texas added two more runs in the fourth inning and led the Yankees 6-0 at that point.
Aaron Judge slammed his 15th home run this season for the Yankees in the bottom of the sixth inning, the only run that New York scored all night long.

As for the Yankees, thanks to Eovaldi's splendid effort, they didn't have many runners on base all game long. New York finished 0-for-1 with runners in scoring position and had just three runners left on base.
The Rangers and Yankees are going to have a Thursday morning Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex time from Yankee Stadium. First pitch will be at 11:35 a.m. CT.
