No, the photo going around supposedly showing Bo Nix's legs is not real.
Technically, it is a real photo, but it's not an image of Nix.
After the Denver Broncos' quarterback underwent a clean-up ankle procedure, somebody Photoshopped an image of Alex Smith's 2024 photo to make it appear that it was a photo posted by Nix. Don't worry, those aren't Nix's legs. In fact, Dr. Aditya J. Yerrapragada (who did not perform the surgery) has indicated it was a routine clean-up for the QB.
"For someone in his position, it actually is pretty common," Dr. Yerrapragada said during an interview with KKTV 11 News. "This was expected, and for someone his level, you know, everything has to be perfect, right? We don't want him to come back with some uncertainty."
Dr. Yerrapragada, from CommonSpirit Health and Bouldercentre for Orthopedics, does not believe it will be a long-term issue for Nix.
"It might add some [recovery] time in the short-term, but it should not jeopardize his ability to get back [for the season]," Dr. Yerrapragada said.
NFL Network previously reported that Nix is expected to be ready at or near the start of training camp, which typically begins in late July.
