The Atlanta Falcons met with Iowa guard Beau Stephens ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft. Rated No. 133 on PFF's big board, Stephens is a potential Day 2 pick and was a first-team AP All-America selection in 2025.
The Atlanta Falcons recently hosted Iowa guard Beau Stephens for a visit ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, according to NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo. Stephens is a dominant zone-blocker who played left guard in college. He's currently rated No. 133 on PFF's big board and is a possible mid-round target for Atlanta.
"Iowa G Beau Stephens had visits with the Cowboys, Seahawks and Falcons among a tour of a half dozen teams ahead of next week’s NFL Draft," wrote Garafolo. "A potential Day 2 pick, Stephens was a first-team AP All-America selection this past season."
Stephens earned a dominant 91.6 pass-blocking grade in 2025 and did not allow a sack over the last two seasons. While the Falcons have two quality guards in Matthew Bergeron and Chris Lindstrom, Bergeron is entering the final year of his contract.
Since Atlanta just had to deal with Kaleb McGary's surprise retirement, it might be wise to plan ahead instead of having to replace Bergeron or Lindstrom on the fly.
"Stephens plays with a strong grasp for angles, tempo and timing for his block fits," wrote NFL.com's Lance Zierlein. "He’s able to sustain and finish at a good rate despite having average play strength. However, his comfort level and consistency drop somewhat when working beyond inside/outside zone."
The Falcons could potentially target Stephens on Day 2 or Day 3 of the draft.
