Bill Murray will join other celebrities at the 2026 BMW Charity Pro-Am in Upstate, marking a long-awaited participation. The event is set for early June, with Murray's involvement finally confirmed after years of planning.

Since playing goofball greenskeeper Carl Spackler in the 1980 comedy "Caddyshack," Bill Murray's fame has been linked to golf.
For years, he has entertained crowds at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
In early June, Murray will be in the Upstate as one of the featured celebrities at the BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by TD SYNNEX.
Max Metcalf, BMW's manager of government and community relations, said tournament organizers had been hoping for several years to get Murray involved. Schedules worked out this year,

"We just couldn't be more happy," Metcalf said.
"He seems to really enjoy being on the golf course and having the fans around. We're honored that he agreed to come."
The tournament will be held at two Upstate courses: Thornblade in Greer, from June 4-7, and the Spartanburg Country Club, on June 4- 5.
Metcalf presented the lineup of celebrity guests at the BMW Performance Center in Greer on April 24.
Other celebrities include baseball legend Roger Clemens, former NFL star Steve Smith Sr., sports journalist Jimmy Roberts, and several actors, including Brian Baumgartner, who played Kevin on "The Office."
Bill Murray is confirmed to be one of the featured celebrities at the 2026 BMW Charity Pro-Am.
The 2026 BMW Charity Pro-Am is scheduled for early June.
Tournament organizers have been hoping for several years to get Bill Murray involved due to his fame linked to golf and his history at similar events.

Actor Brian Baumgartner, who played the part of Kevin on "The Office," will be back for this year's BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by TD SYNNEX.
The tournament week will include a host of other special events, ranging from a dog-friendly walk/run, Saturday, May 30, to a street party in downtown Greer, Sunday, May 31, to a concert by Disco-era's KC and the Sunshine Band at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium, Thursday, June 4.
Away from the golf course, Murray will perform as front man of Bill Murray and his Blood Brothers on Saturday, June 6 at 3's Golf and Grubhouse.
Proceeds from the BMW Charity Pro-Am support numerous nonprofit organizations in the Upstate, including Mobile Meals of Spartanburg, the Hispanic Alliance, Gibbs Cancer Center, Neighborhood Cancer Connection and Upstate Warrior Solution.
The BMW Charity Pro-Am is part of the Korn Ferry Tour, which is a developmental tour for the PGA Tour.
Metcalf said the tournament depends on the support of hundreds of volunteers, and there are still opportunities available.
