Tennessee Titans rookie Carnell Tate is expected to take on a significant role in the team's wide receiver lineup, potentially stepping into the WR1 position next season. His development alongside Cam Ward is anticipated to be exciting for fantasy football enthusiasts.
We are diving into some fantasy football content this offseason as we look to bring in all sorts of football fans to Vikings Wire. It is arguably the most popular game that is around football, so not dipping our toes into the proverbial pool wouldn't make sense.
What we will start with is some rookie profiles, and where they fit into the landscape of the team they were drafted by. Next up, Tennessee Titans wide receiver Carnell Tate.
Tate is likely to step into the WR1 role next season but can enjoy some decent target share as the team's WR2 in 2026. Calvin Ridley remains on the team, but if Tate were to take over the role later in the season, it would not surprise me. He is going to be really fun to watch develop with the team's former top overall pick, Cam Ward.

Carnell Tate was a top-five talent for a lot of draft analysts this year, and he brings that now to Tennessee. Calvin Ridley has had some ups and downs over the year, so the target share and work are prime for the taking. If Tate remains healthy, he is good enough to take over the WR1 role that way alone.
Carnell Tate deserves to be a top-five pick in rookie drafts and can be a mid-round value in redraft leagues, as we discuss. He should finish the season as the WR1 and get over the 1,000-yard mark. His touchdown numbers will really determine how much of a WR2 he can be in fantasy, but he is safely in that fold. Tate will demand the target share; he can work the short to intermediate levels of the field while Ridley works the outside. The result will be Tate being targeted early and often throughout the season.
