Final World Cup squad announcement to be at the Museum of Tomorrow

With 50 days to go until Brazil’s World Cup debut against Morocco on 06/13, the CBF has confirmed the venue for the squad announcement for the biggest competition on the planet, which will take place on May 18.

The final Brazil squad list will be announced at an event for the press, sponsors, and guests at the Museum of Tomorrow, in downtown Rio de Janeiro, at 5 p.m.

The Museum of Tomorrow, designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, was inaugurated on December 17, 2015. Built next to Mauá Square, in Rio de Janeiro’s port area, it stands against the exuberant backdrop of Guanabara Bay, in one of the city’s most iconic locations.

The event will be a celebration of Brazilian football, bringing together the past and present of the most successful national team in World Cup history.

On the occasion, head coach Carlo Ancelotti will announce the 26 players who will represent the Seleção at the World Cup, kicking off the campaign in search of a sixth title.

On 05/27, the players will report to Granja Comary to begin preparations for the tournament.

On 05/31, the national team will face Panama at the Maracanã, marking its farewell match in the country. The following day, the delegation will travel to the United States, where it will play one final friendly against Egypt at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland on June 6, one week before the debut against Morocco.
