"If a deal happens, it could be as soon as tonight. Giants have been open to listening."
Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports that the Saints interest is nothing new and the two teams have talked about a trade for Thibodeaux before.
"This has been a long-going conversation. Tires were kicked back in February. I think the price might have to dip a little to make it happen," Underhill said.
As recently as Thursday night, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the Giants did not intend on trading Thibodeaux, even after drafting Arvell Reese with the No. 5 pick.

Nevertheless, we clearly need to be keeping an eye out for a player for pick trade on Friday night.
The Saints have two picks on Day 2, including one in the second round and one in the third round. We cannot imagine the Saints would give up a second-rounder for Thibodeaux, so a third-rounder is the highest we'd expect them to give up.
A former No. 5 overall pick, Thibodeaux showed immense promise in 2023 with 11.5 sacks, but injuries and ineffective play have derailed him the last two years.
Now he's in the final year of his rookie contract and that only hurts his value.
Head coach John Harbaugh didn't sound like someone who was interested in trading Thibodeaux during his introductory press conference, but more recently Harbaugh said "everybody is tradable" when asked about Thibodeaux's status.
