Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres was the first Gunner to be named in his country’s World Cup squad earlier this week, with Sweden confirming their final squad on Tuesday.
France then followed on Thursday night, revealing that William Saliba will also be involved in the summer tournament.
It may not be long until we get another confirmation, with Belgium’s squad reportedly set for an announcement on Friday afternoon. Leandro Trossard will be the hopeful Arsenal player in that instance.

With the other unconfirmed squads, Globo Esporte report that Arsenal trio Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli, and Gabriel Jesus have at least all made Carlo Ancelotti’s 55-man preliminary squad for the World Cup.
That list will be slashed to just 26 names on Monday, May 18th, and the three Arsenal players remain in contention to feature in the final squad.
The other countries set to announce their squads next week include Portugal (Vieira), Norway (Odegaard), Germany (Havertz), and England (Rice, Saka, Eze, Madueke, Lewis-Skelly).
Spain (Raya, Merino, Kepa, Mosquera, Zubimendi) and the Netherlands (Timber) will then announce their squads the following week, with Ecuador’s exact announcement date currently unknown.
