The Philadelphia Flyers face the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 6 of the playoffs, leading the series 3-2. After losing the last two games, the Flyers aim to secure their spot in the next round at Xfinity Mobile Arena.

The Philadelphia Flyers (3-2) have another chance to put the Pittsburgh Penguins (2-3) away once again on Wednesday at Xfinity Mobile Arena.
After getting off to a 3-0 series lead, the Flyers have let the Penguins back into the series, dropping the last two games. Philadelphia was playing a fast-paced, heavy-hitting, agitating brand of hockey that was getting under the Penguins’ skin.
Since then, the Penguins have turned the tables on the Flyers, beating them at their own game. Now, it’s Philly that is being beaten along the boards, outhit, and falling behind in games. They have trailed by a score in each of the last two games, but have been unable to close the gap.
Will Wednesday be the day the Flyers finally put a fork in the Penguins?
Puck drop is at 7:30 p.m. EST on Wednesday. Here is how the Flyers are expected to line up.

The Flyers have to treat Game 6 like it’s Game 7. Pittsburgh has gained more and more momentum with each win. If they win Game 6, there is no way the Penguins are bringing the series back to Pittsburgh to let the Flyers win easily. Game 6 is their best chance to put the series away.
Alex Bump joined the Flyers lineup on Monday and made an immediate impact. He scored a goal and was making plays in both zones of the ice. Bump was the Flyers’ best player on Monday. Look for him to remain in the lineup and continue making an impact.
Philly has faced Arturs Silovs for the last two games. Philly has yet to fund a way to really beat Silovs. He gave up a lot of long rebounds, and the Flyers were unable to capitalize in Games 4 and 5. Assuming the Penguins ride the hot goalie, the Flyers will have to take advantage of those rebounds.
Garnet Hathaway was on the ice with the presumed scratches at the end of morning skate. It looks like he’ll come out and Matvei Michkov goes in.
At the end of the day, the Flyers have lost two games, with flukey goals being the difference maker in both contests. Philly knows what happened and is still confident in their game. Despite the physical play being a mismatch over the last 120 minutes, they have kept the score even aside from those weird goals. If Philly can keep its confidence, they can put the series to rest on Monday.
