In a recent ESPN article, Curtis revealed that Pavia played a big factor in his recruitment. Pavia attended one of Curtis' high school games. Curtis visited Vanderbilt for the Missouri game in October, which played a big role in him flipping his commitment from Georgia.

Curtis hasn't won the starting job at Vanderbilt yet. He's competing for the starting role with Blaze Berlowitz and others. The Commodores lost a lot of talent in the trenches and at skill positions from last season's 10-3 team that just missed out on the College Football Playoff.
Curtis is still adjusting to the college game, especially from a mental aspect. If Vanderbilt elects to start Curtis, then one of his first ever SEC starts could be on the road at Georgia. The .
