The transfer portal closed for new entries on Monday, but most of those who already entered still need to find their new programs. Mireia ‘MJ’ Jurado is no longer among the free agents. Loyola Chicago announced the signing of the former Arizona guard on Tuesday.
Jurado appeared in 30 games and made 18 starts in her only year as a Wildcat. She started the first nine games of the season, averaging 33.9 minutes per game over that span. After her start against Eastern Kentucky on Dec. 10, 2025, both her starts and her minutes became erratic.
She scored in double digits three times, all during the nonconference season. On Nov. 25, she scored 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting and grabbed six rebounds against Northern Colorado. Four days later, she scored 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting and had six rebounds against CSU Bakersfield. She also had three assists and two steals in that game.
Jurado’s final double-digit scoring game was against Bellarmine on Dec. 18. She scored 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting. She had one assist and one steal in 29 minutes on the floor.
Bellarmine was Arizona’s final game before the start of Big 12 competition. During conference play, her highest-scoring games were two contests with seven points each. She didn’t score at all in 12 of her final 19 appearances, all of which came against Big 12 opponents.
Over the course of the season, Jurado averaged 3.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, 0.8 assists against 1.1 turnovers, and 0.5 steals in 19.7 minutes per game. She shot 48.2 percent from the field, 30.6 percent from 3-point range, and made 3 of 6 free throws.

The Ramblers play in the A-10 where they went 16-18 overall and 9-9 in conference play last season. They lost to No. 1 Connecticut and beat Northwestern in their nonconference play. After the season, former head coach Allison Guth resigned.
Guth was replaced by Morgan Paige, who left a position as the associate head coach at Kansas to take over in Chicago. In addition to Jurado, Paige is bringing in Angela Le Faou from Pitt and Gabby Wilke from Butler and South Dakota as transfers. Le Faou holds dual French and Spanish citizenship and, like Jurado, has played for the Spanish national teams at the youth level.
With Jurado’s commitment, four of the six Wildcats who entered the portal have now found new programs. Only guard Tanyuel Welch and forward Daniah Trammell have not announced their new landing spots.
