After a few days in the transfer portal, former Longhorn Simeon Wilcher has found a new home. The veteran guard committed to Seton Hall on Monday and will be returning to the Big East. He spent his first two seasons with St. John's before transferring to Texas. As a Red Storm, Wilcher shows signs of promise, averaging a career-high eight points and 1.9 rebounds per game during the 2024-2025 campaign. Starting over is something he has done before, and with Seton Hall, Wilcher should be able to get more playing time. Coming out of high school, Wilcher was highly regarded by scouts. He was ranked No. 36 overall player and No. 6 shooting guard in the 2023 class by the Rivals Industry Rankings. If he can live up to those expectations, Seton Hall will get a boost as they look to make a deep tournament run next March.
