In a Fox News appearance with host Laura Ingraham, Syndergaard fawned over Trump after visiting the White House to meet him for the first time earlier in the day. Syndergaard was there to support Trumpâs revival of the Presidential Fitness Test.
âItâs a dream come true, Iâm riding this bliss in this moment,â Syndergaard told Ingraham. âI really just donât quite understand the negativity or the pessimism he gets with the media and some of the population of this nation because heâs just such a patriotic guy, and he cares so much about everybody and the health of this nation and the health of this world.â

Syndergaard continued to compliment the twice-impeached, once criminally convicted, war-starting, inflation-feeding, healthcare-cutting commander in chief.
âIâm envious of the mental energy that this guy has, the sharpness he has, the comedic nature of everything he says,â said the athlete. âHeâs just a joy to be around.â
