Former Texas A&M athletes who have since pursued front office positions continue to make headlines, especially in the NBA, as former Aggie guard Bryson Graham was recently hired as the Chicago Bulls' Executive VP of Basketball Operations earlier this month, while Graham's former A&M teammate, Acie Law IV, will reportedly join Graham in the Bulls' front office.
During his four-year career, Acie Law quickly became one of the top players in college basketball, winning the Bob Cousy award during his senior season and leading the Aggies to the Sweet 16 before the devastating loss to Memphis. While Wade Taylor IV holds most of the A&M scoring records, Law is currently 5th in total points (1,669) and assists (545) and 8th in steals (156).
Under former head coach Billy Gillispie, Texas A&M compiled an impressive 70-26 record and three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, largely due to Acie Law's accomplishments and steadfast leadership. After being selected 11th overall by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2007 NBA Draft, Law spent four seasons as a reserve guard with several teams and spent three more seasons overseas in the EuroLeague.
Since entering the coaching ranks, Law spent three seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder as the Franchise's Director of Amateur Scouting, and was part of the 2025 championship team last season alongside star defender and fellow Texas A&M legend Alex Caruso. After being hired as the Brooklyn Nets' Director of Player Personnel, Law will now join Chicago as the franchise's new Vice President of Player Personnel.
