Former Texas A&M star promoted to Triple‑A Charlotte

Even though Braden Montgomery spent just one season in Aggieland, his impact was undeniable. He helped power Texas A&M all the way to the College World Series championship game, and it was clear from the moment he turned pro that he had the tools to rise quickly.

After being drafted, Montgomery went through a predictable adjustment period while working back from injury. But once healthy, his ascent through the minor leagues has been steady and lately, explosive. His time in Chicago White Sox big‑league camp this spring seemed to flip a switch. Since then, he’s been one of the most productive hitters in the system and has climbed the prospect rankings at a rapid pace.

This season at Double‑A Birmingham, Montgomery slashed .313/.429/.606 with six home runs, 31 hits, 22 RBI, and a staggering 1.035 OPS, production that solidified him as the No. 1 prospect in the White Sox organization and No. 31 overall. That dominance left the club with only one option.

Montgomery has officially been called up to Triple‑A Charlotte, putting him just one step away from the majors.

If he continues producing at this level, the next stop could be Chicago, and it may come sooner than expected.
