Detroit defeated Cleveland, 111-101, on Tuesday in Game 1 of the NBA Eastern Conference playoffs semifinals at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.
Former Vol Tobias Harris started and played 39 minutes for the Pistons. He scored 20 points, while converting 6-of-14 field goal attempts, 1-of-5 three-point attempts and 7-of-8 free throw attempts. The former Vol also recorded eight rebounds, one assist and two steals.
Game 2 between the Pistons and Cavaliers is scheduled for Thursday at 7 p.m. EDT at Little Caesars Arena.
Harris played for the Vols from 2010-11 under head coach Bruce Pearl. In his one season at Tennessee, he averaged 15.3 points and 7.3 assists per game. Harris was a Second-Team All-SEC performer and a member of the SEC All-Freshman Team. He received Second-Team Freshman All-America honors by the USBWA.
