LAFAYETTE — One of the greatest post players in the history of Lafayette area girls basketball will now assume the head leadership role at a program which hasn't carried a winning record in seven years.
Fountain Central great Macee (Overman) Williams will be the head coach of Attica after spending three seasons as an assistant under former coach Dan Dawson.
Overman was a standout who was voted Journal & Courier Small Schools Player of the Year in 2017 after averaging 26.7 points, 16.2 rebounds, 5.7 steals and 3.4 assists during her senior year.

The 6-foot-2 power forward's legacy grew at IUI (formerly IUPUI) and became the program's all-time leader in points and rebounds. Overman was later selected in the third round of the WNBA Draft by the Phoenix Mercury in 2022.
Overman never played a game in the WNBA and returned to Indiana. Along with coaching, Overman serves as an Attica Elementary School sixth grade math teacher.
