The Trojans (13-2) relied on five shutout innings by Roberts, who struck out 14 and only allowed one hit. Edwards, a Danville Area Community College signee, struck out three in two innings of relief. He also delivered at the plate with two hits, including a solo home run in the top of the fourth that gave A-P a 1-0 lead. Rhys Showalter also contributed for the Trojans with a two-run double, while Caleb Fauser had the lone hit for the Raiders (7-9).
➜ Host Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond cruised to its sixth straight win, scoring three runs in the bottom of the first inning and four more each in the second and third innings to pull away from the Broncos in the five-inning Lincoln Prairie Conference win. Will Hilligoss went 3 for 4 with two RBI and three runs scored out of the leadoff spot to spark the Knights (16-6), while Maxton Boddy drove in three runs and Jansen Burnett added two RBI. Burnett, Boddy and Donovan Vanasudoll combined on a four-hit shutout. Gus Mann went 2 for 2 to lead Cerro Gordo/Bement (2-12).
➜ Midway through a close Vermilion Valley game, host Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin used a big inning to take control and snap a three-game losing streak. Cruz Dubois hit a home run and finished with three RBI for BHRA (11-7) while walking twice and getting hit by a pitch in his other plate appearance. Jaxen Spicer was 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI to complement Dubois, while Landen Packard, Mason Clapp and Mason Brines also drove in a run. Spicer picked up the win on the mound, scattering eight hits in 6 1/3 innings and striking out six. Aiden Frerichs was 3 for 4 to lead Milford (10-9), while Hixon Lafond and Isaac Schaumburg each produced a double.

➜ Heyden Romano delivered a superb outing on the mound, throwing a complete game and striking out 14 to help the Sages post a nonconference road win. Romano only allowed two hits, with Monticello scoring three runs in the top of the third inning to take a 3-0 lead. That was all the run support Romano needed. Cole Basak was 2 for 4 with an RBI, while Grant Kiger was 1 for 2 with a double and an RBI and Jax Bailey was 2 for 3 to lead the offensive efforts for Monticello (23-1).

The Spartans used a six-run outburst in the top of the fourth inning to up their lead to 9-1 and cruised from there. Logan Rosenthal (2 for 5, two RBI, two runs scored) was also key in the latest win by the Spartans.

Fletcher Swartz finished with four RBI to lead Hoopeston Area, while Isaiah Mobley, Cole Miller and Zach Huchel all had two RBI.
➜ Tuscola earned a win for the sixth time in its last seven games thanks to a balanced offense that produced 15 hits in a Central Illinois Conference road victory. Connor Musgrave went 2 for 4 with two doubles and three RBI to lead the Warriors (13-10), who led 5-3 after two innings and closed out the win in emphatic fashion by plating six runs in the top of the seventh. The Knights led 8-0 before Heritage batted in the first inning, but the Hawks responded with seven runs and took a 10-8 lead after three innings. But ALAH went ahead 11-10 with two runs in the top of the sixth before adding five more runs in the seventh to secure the win. Sophie Monts and Kyndrie Carter stood out for ALAH (8-16), with Monts going 4 for 4 with two doubles and three RBI and Carter going 3 for 5 with two doubles and four RBI. Faith Latham hit a grand slam and finished 3 for 5 with four RBI to lead Heritage (0-13).
➜ Zoe Goodreau shined in the pitcher's circle and the batter's box, leading Centennial to a five-inning home nonconference win. Goodreau threw a no-hitter for the Chargers (3-14), recording all 15 of her outs by strikeouts. Her first strikeout in the game was the 700th of her high school career. At the plate, Goodreau hit a home run and a double to finish with three RBI. Teammates Melanee Wallace-Dahl added three singles, while Lilly Shipley came through with a double and two RBI.

Northwestern signee Addison Lucht hit a home run and had two RBI while walking in her other three plate appearances for the Bearcats (10-5). Sydney Seyfert (2 for 4, double, RBI), Lillie Harris (1 for 3, RBI) and Hannah Borgers (1 for 3, RBI) were also clutch for Milford/Cissna Park in the win. Ella Acton and Mia Ohler each hit home runs for the Blue Devils (10-16), with Ohler driving in three runs and Acton driving in two runs. Callan Carpenter finished 4 for 4 with a double for BHRA.

Hardy stood out at McKinley Field, winning the 110-meter hurdles in 14.42 seconds and the 300 hurdles in 39.19. Teammates Jayden Thompson in the 200 (22.79), Nolan Bossert in the 1,600 (4:32.62), Noah Gwinn in the 3200 (10:34.28) and Evan Kolb in the pole vault (14 feet, 11/4 inches) also won individual events for Central. The Maroons' 3,200 relay of Simon Campbell, Bhoj Ramrattan, Peter Schideman and Austin Ritter also placed first in 8:27.01. Centennial secured three first-place finishes from JJ Lewandowski in the high jump (6-2), along with Izrael Allah, Leke Owojori, Josue Mukoka and Escko Law winning the 400 relay in 42.44 and Malik Ewing, Jonathan Kalonji, Lewandowski and Eli Beni Duma winning the 1,600 relay in 3:24.23. Tuscola won three events, with Kamden Flenner winning the 100 (10.79 and Kale Wilcox winning the discus (132-3) as the Warriors' 800 relay of Bradlee Washington, Sawyer Beachy, Calvin Cook and Flenner crossed the finish line first in 1:29.02. Arlin Orr in the 800 (2:01.15) and CJ Blanden in the shot put (42-113/4) gave Urbana two wins, while D'Mario Jackson won the 400 (48.58) for Danville.
➜ Mahomet-Seymour received a win from Madalyn Marx in the 400-meter dash and Anniston Huff in the 800, with the duo also running on a first-place 1,600 relay to propel the Bulldogs to tying for third place with Champaign Central at the 14-team Urbana Invitational. Those were the best finishes by area teams, with Bloomington placing first and Kankakee taking second. Marx crossed the finish line first in the 400 in 55.57 seconds, while Huff did the same in the 800 in 2:20.71. Marx, Huff, Evelyn Hillard and Selma Tilton collected the other first-place finish by M-S with a time of 4:03.09 in the 1,600 relay. Central did not win any events, but individual runner-up results from Isabella Roundtree in the 100 (12.74). The Maroons also took second in the 400 relay (49.92) thanks to Roundtree, Rita Grant, Sarah Donahoe and Londyn Grant, and in the 800 relay (1.47.51) from Londyn Grant, Ava Clark, Donahoe and Roundtree. Danville placed fifth, led by wins in the 100 from Jamia Esther (12.08), the discus from Jada Bell (110 feet, 10 inches) and the pole vault from Samantha Brown (12-4 3/4). The Vikings also won the 800 relay in 1:43.94, with Brown, Esther, Yariah Shaw and Da'Sani Lewis racing to the win. Aubreyana Thompson of Rantoul won the 300 hurdles in 46.64 as the Eagles placed sixth, and Lillian DiSanto had the lone win for the host Tigers with a toss of 37-7 1/4 in the shot put. Urbana tied for 12th.
➜ A Grace Tempel and Ava Jones each won individual events for Unity as the Rockets placed third with 70 points at the 20-team Sages Invitational for the best finish by an area team. Mt. Zion won the meet with 115 1/2 points, followed by runner-up Normal U-High and its 104 1/2 points. Tempel sprinted to a win in the 100-meter dash in 12.93 seconds, edging Nevaeh Scott of Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin by five-hundreths of a second.Jones took first in the long jump with a leap of 17 feet, 2 3/4 inches as teammate Jillian Schlitter was second at 16-10. Kate Foltz provided 10th-place Tuscola with a win by cruising to a first-place finish in the 3,200 in 11:02.00. Evalice Callison of Villa Grove had the other victory by an area athlete when she cleared 5-3 3/4 to win the high jump. Villa Grove placed 12th.
