St. Thomas Aquinas boys lacrosse goalie Jake More achieved a rare shutout, stopping all 13 shots in a 12-0 victory over Kingswood on May 8. This marks the first time a Division II team has been held scoreless this season.
DOVER - No Division II boys lacrossee team besides Alvirne had been held off the scoreboard in a game through the first four weeks of the season this spring.
Until Kingswood, which had scored 70 goals in its first six games of the season, arrived at St. Thomas Aquinas on Friday, May 8.

St. Thomas Aquinas junior goalie Jake More had 13 saves and earned a shutout in a 12-0 Division II boys lacrosse win over Kingswood on Friday, May 8.
St. Thomas Aquinas junior goalie Jake More had five saves in the first quarter, one in the second, three in the third and four in the fourth for a total of 13 as the Saints improved to 6-3 with a 12-0 win over Kingswood. More was named the Friday Seacoast Standout Athlete of the Day.
"Lacrosse is pretty tough (to get a shutout)," St. Thomas Aquinas first-year head coach Dan De Tolla said. "Just take a look at the standings, you're not going to see a lot of zeros in any columns. And when we're playing a team like Kingswood, who's been pretty hot lately, I was happy for (More)."
De Tolla says anything over 50% for a save percentage for a lacrosse goalie is a "good day."
"When you when you stop 13 saves and get a shutout, that's pretty awesome," De Tolla said. "He's been playing on his head, and in lacrosse, that's a good thing. When you play on your head it just means you're just on another level."
More, even as a junior, was named a team captain heading into the season.
"We have open gym on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and I don't think he has missed one lift since last fall," De Tolla said.
The score was 12-0 in favor of St. Thomas Aquinas.
Jake More is the standout goalie who achieved the shutout.
