Why the Rams' decision to draft Ty Simpson makes sense
Jorge Masvidal is angry at Chael Sonnen for claiming he lied about UFC negotiations. Masvidal is reportedly in talks for a major fight, possibly against Conor McGregor.

Not for the first time, Jorge Masvidal is pissed off at Chael Sonnen.
In an unexpected turn of events, “Gamebred” recently revealed he’s back in negotiations with the UFC and was offered a major fight. Fight fans quickly pondered the potential of a UFC White House return — Masvidal did help get Donald Trump elected after all — or mega fight versus Conor McGregor. The former isn’t happening, and current insiders point Max Holloway as the former BMF belt-holder that’s more likely to face “The Notorious.”
Recently, Sonnen took to his YouTube channel and basically accused Masvidal of making the whole thing up, arguing that he’s never actually been in talks of making a UFC return. Per Sonnen, Masvidal was just lying and “trying to get headlines.”

Masvidal didn’t appreciate those words. Responding to Sonnen, he absolutely went off in a longwinded rant that concluded with an offer to fight in Masvidal’s bare knuckle MMA promotion Gamebred FC.
“For starters, this motherf—ker has some nerve. He’s transitioning into a woman and he’s talking s—t to me? You lesbian ass motherf—ker, and no disrespect to the lesbians, this motherf—ker needs to chill,” Masvidal said (via Curtis Calhoun). “Because now that he’s a lesbian, he thinks I can’t slap him? I’ll still slap the f—k out of you, Chael, you lesbian in transition. Look at them f—king tits and glasses he’s wearing, he looks like one of my f—king aunts.
“I can’t take this guy seriously. The only serious thing this guy did was fighting Anderson Silva, lost, got triangle tapped, and he was on seven different PEDs. Dude, you can never talk to me. I’ve never had a positive exam for steroids in my life, shut the f—k up, Chael, you’re talking to a real fighter.
“I never said I’m ‘officially’ fighting at the White House, you f—king lying piece of s—t. There was a lot of interest in that fight, at first, and there was a big chance I’d be on that card,” Masvidal continued. “They asked me for a few things, and then the date changed … not contradicting anything, it’s called ‘Rolling with the punches’. Now, the UFC has offered me something else … every time he mentions my name, his 17 fans tune in.”
Clearly, Masvidal still intends to return to the Octagon, even if he’s willing to take a side quest to Heavyweight and his own promotion to score vengeance on Sonnen. As to whether there’s any truth to Sonnen’s claims that UFC has no interest in Masvidal — we’ll hopefully find out in the coming months!
