Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to four-star defensive back Xavier Bowman from Knoxville Catholic High School in Tennessee. The 5-foot-11 cornerback is ranked as the No. 12 cornerback nationally and had an impressive sophomore season with 48 tackles and 11 pass deflections.
The Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to four-star defensive back recruit Xavier Bowman, who is a member of the class of 2028. Georgia offered Bowman after he took a recent April visit to the University of Georgia.
The four-star plays high school football for Knoxville Catholic in Knoxville, Tennessee, which is home to the Tennessee Volunteers. The 5-foot-11, 165-pound cornerback recruit is ranked as the No. 130 recruit in the rising junior class. Bowman is the No. 12 cornerback nationally and the fifth-best recruit in Tennessee.
The four-star finished his sophomore season with 48 total tackles, 11 pass deflections and an interception. The talented defender made the Division 2 Class AAA all-state team for his outstanding sophomore season.
The Knoxville Catholic star isn't afraid to deliver a punishing hit to opposing ball carriers. Bowman has good speed that helps him not get beat deep and is quick to react out of his breaks.

Bowman has recent scholarship offers from Ole Miss, Missouri, Memphis, Florida, Louisville and more. The four-star has gone on recent visits with Virginia Tech and Georgia. Bowman also checked out a pair of Alabama games during the fall including an Alabama win over Tennessee. The hometown Volunteers offered Bowman back in April 2025, but he appears far from a lock to stay in Knoxville.
"After a great visit and conversation with (Georgia defensive backs coach Donte Williams), I am blessed to have received an offer from Georgia football," Bowman said via social media. The Bulldogs will hope to host Bowman on more recruiting visits.
