Lamine Yamal has sent out a message to Barcelona fans in the wake of Tuesdayâs disappointing Champions League exit at the hands of Atletico Madrid.
The teenager opened the scoring after just four minutes of the game as Barca won 2-1 in the Spanish capital but went out 3-2 on aggregate.
Yamal has spoken of his disappointment in a message on social media but says he remains determined to bring the European Cup back to Barcelona.
âWe gave it our all but it wasnât good enough. This is just part of the road: to get to the top you have to climb, and we know it wonât be easy nor will they make it easy for us. But giving up is not an option.
âWe have plenty of reasons to be excited about, and weâre going for them with everything. Every mistake is a lesson, and donât doubt that we will learn from each one.
âWe are Barça, and we will be back where we belong. My parents taught me that a manâs word is always kept.. and weâll bring her to Barcelona.

Barcelona now have a few days off before they return to action on Wednesday in La Liga at home to Celta Vigo.
Lamine Yamal expressed disappointment over the exit but emphasized his determination to bring the European Cup back to Barcelona.
Barcelona won the match 2-1 but lost 3-2 on aggregate, resulting in their exit from the tournament.
